Introducing our Darkroom Experience Package! A perfect giftable box including a camera, film, intructions for shooting and the opportunity to develop your very own photos in our Darkroom with photographer Emily Ryalls.

Inside your box, you’ll find a Harman Reusable 35mm film camera – our top choice for the nostalgic disposable-camera aesthetic, without the environmental guilt. We will have already loaded it with a roll of 35mm film (36 exposures), so it’s ready to shoot straight away.

Before you start snapping, be sure to check the instruction card included in your box for tips on getting the best results.

For beautifully balanced photos, try to shoot the entire roll in similar lighting conditions – this helps keep your exposures even throughout. When in dark conditions, remember to use flash!

When you arrive for your Darkroom session our technician will guide you through rewinding and unloading your film safely – then the real magic begins.

Together, you’ll develop your film from start to finish, learning the full process while enjoying a hot drink and a sweet treat as your negatives dry.

We’ll then regroup under the glow of the red light of the Darkroom to create a contact sheet – a mini version of every frame on your roll. You’ll expose your contact sheet just like a full print, using the enlarger and traditional chemical baths to bring your images to life. This will help us choose your standout shots.

Finally, we’ll pick your favourite frame and turn it into a hand-printed 12x16” silver gelatin print – a one-of-a-kind keepsake to cherish forever.
