Wakefield based Lesley Smith has a love for screen printing and lino printing. Her inspiration comes from local familiar places and a sense of place that holds a special memory or feeling.
This piece was created from an image of the the Gawthorpe Water Tower. Having always admired it and been drawn to it, Lesley feels it has a sense of "other worldliness" and is remeniscent of places far away or imaginary such as Kansas and Oz.
